    Il a commencé son service militaire, le 8 mars 2019. Lee Jong Suk est ami avec Kim Hyeon Jung qu'il connaissait déjà avant de débuter leur carrière de mannequin au même moment. Il est aussi ami avec Park Shin Hye et ils travaillent régulièrement ensemble pour des magasines. Il a tourné le "premier rôle de méchant" dans le film VIP. On peut voir sa statut de cire au Musée Tussaud de Hong Kong.
